The Modeschule Berlin is the state vocational school in Berlin that offers training in the field of textiles and clothing. Programs are available in a wide range of professions. Like in a company, all phases of the creation of garments are covered, from design to pattern making, production planning and manufacturing. Care and alteration of garments are just as much a focus as presentation and sales in the school’s own shop. In the courses leading to a higher general education qualification (IBA, Fachoberschule), there is instruction in vocational subjects with a focus on textiles.
